Phaedra is a comic and an old soul. (much like my first OES, Winnie and our Beardie, Stella) She is silly and happy and avoids conflict whenever possible. She will bark outside like there is something big to bark about but when you go to the door to check she appears to smile, wags her tail and saunters into the house. I showed her in FSS for a time and she was a perfect ambassador for the breed, polite and friendly, she appeared to very much enjoy all of the attention from judges and handlers who wanted to learn about the breed. We had hoped to breed Phadie when we first got her but sadly we discovered that her hips were bad when we x-rayed her. The orthopedic vet told us that we could not ethically breed her. Now that she is older her hips are stiff and though she wants to play with Maco she suffers in pain later. It breaks our hearts! Phadie is a cuddle bug and is always the first to snuggle up next to me on the bed. Her steady breathing calms me and seems to help me sleep.
